Doug Anderson and his colleagues at New England Financial provide a broad range of investment and insurance opportunities. He works with individuals and families, professionals, business owners and key executives and has significant experience in assisting those with a PERA retirement benefit to develop strategies for Retirement Planning, Wealth Accumulation and Management, Investment and Asset Allocation Planning, Estate Conservation Strategies and Life, Disability Income and Long Term Care Insurance Options. He is a member of New England’s Pension Strategy Team (PST) and Military Advocacy Team (MAT), specifically focusing on assisting those with military, federal or Colorado State [PERA] pensions.

Doug works with people who want to take an active role in their future and make smart choices with their money in a way that will allow them to work towards achieving their unique financial goals. He is an excellent listener and by asking the right questions, helps clients define and quantify their goals and objectives for their financial future. From this interaction, he develops blueprints and timelines to help achieve client objectives from family or business security today to building and preserving client wealth and legacy for the future.

Developing a strategy is only the first step of many. Doug is committed to his clients and meets with them as often as it is necessary to review their progress and update options based on changes in the financial arena or the changing goals and needs of his clients.

For small businesses or self employed individuals, Doug designs and implements pension, 401K plans, and insurance programs.

Doug retired from the U.S. Army in 1996 after 22 years of service serving in a variety of operational and leadership positions culminating in the command of the 4th Forward Support Battalion and the 4th Support Group [Provisional] at Ft. Carson. He graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences in Aviation Management from Auburn University and completed his Masters in Business from Webster University.

Doug and his wife Melissa have lived in Colorado Springs since 1993. They have three sons, the oldest Brian and the twins, Chris and J.P. He continues to be an active supporter of the military and the community through various volunteer activities such as the Boy Scouts and Knight’s of Columbus. A few of his hobbies include all types of fishing and hunting, bicycling and racquetball.
